NIFFO Gallery warmly invites you to the exhibit Our Roots Are Dark opening on March 19th by Marijke de Pous.
Our Roots are Dark is the first solo exhibition to emerge out of Marijke’s recent studio practice I am Seedling Seeding. The exhibit will showcase a collection of large drawings in which the boundaries between charcoal, pencil, body and landscape have been blurred. In the encounter with what is drawn and with landscape, the body takes on a new appearance as 'Earthling'. An earthly protest creature, imbued with nature, full of emotion, powerful and rebellious.
